A new rumor alleges that new Team Zero Race Car chassis are going to be built in the near future.

Dirt late model insider Racin’ Jason shared the rumor from an anonymous individual on the most recent episode of Rippin the Lip. He said, ” Team Zero cars are going to be getting built before long. The jig is at Barry Wright’s and the other one’s at BruceBilt. I was told that at Needmore, but don’t hold to me that. That’s what I was told.”

He added, “So we are going to see Bloomquist cars get made again.”

A little bit later in the show, Racin’ Jason shared some skepticism about this rumor he’s heard given there were two jigs at different locations, “When those two names were mentioned to me, I was like, ‘Wait a doggone minute. Wait a minute.'”

A listing on RacingJunk.com claims to be selling a Team Zero race car that has never been raced and was put together at the Team Zero headquarters in Mooresburg, Tennessee for $30,000. Additionally, the listing states that it has Penske shocks and springs that were setup by Bloomquist. If you want those it will cost an additional $8,000.

The car is being sold by a private seller based out of Hibbing, Minnesota.

Chris Ferguson did debut a Team Zero chassis at Eldora for the World 100 last year. He made the announcement on Facebook, “Introducing Iceman. We will [be] debuting our brand new Team Zero Race Cars at Eldora Speedway’s World 100.”

Dale McDowell and Shane McDowell Racing competed in their Team Zero Chassis throughout this year and in fact have an unused chassis that they’ve stashed at their shop in East Tennessee.

DirtonDirt.com’s Kyle McFadden reported in September, “The McDowell racing stable has three of those cars remaining — the one they’re racing with this weekend at Eldora, the car they finished runner-up with at the World 100 last year and then brother Shane has one fresh, unused chassis left that’s been stashed in their East Tennessee shop since the Team Zero Cars were last built.”
