Both Ryan Gustin and Devin Moran explained what happened during a chaotic heat 3 restart that saw Gustin struggle to fire and Moran had nowhere to go but into his rear.
As shared by DirtonDirt.com’s Kyle McFadden on a restart Gustin didn’t get going and Moran climbed up and over his left rear.
Chaos to start Heat 2! Before this, RTJ blew the opening corner, triggering a yellow.

Gustin spoke to StockCarReport.com and explained what happened, “It took off initially and then fell on its face. It’s a carburetor that I’m not real fond of anyways. I pry should’ve taken it off before the heat race, but it runs good when it’s wide open, but it don’t take off very good. Bit us in the ass, unfortunately.
As for Moran he told StockCarReport.com, “Don’t really know. I haven’t watched the replay, but it looks like they went to go and then he like checked up. And I think they said his carburetor stumbled and when that happened, my nose got in there and it just curled up over his tire and I couldn’t get away. And then once that happened it bent the bumper and it just killed our night.
While Moran’s night was ended, Gustin would finish third in his B-Main and take a provisional to make the race. He would start the feature in 25th and charge 18 spots to finish in 7th. He was able to best Tim McCreadie by two positions who finished in 9th and pad his points lead to 54 points as the two battle for third place.
