Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series Cancels Racing Action At North Georgia Speedway Tonight

The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series announced it canceled its racing action at North Georgia Speedway for Thursday, March 12th after heavy overnight rainfall.

The series announced in a press release, “After heavy overnight rain, North Georgia Speedway and Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series officials are unfortunately forced to cancel tonight’s scheduled racing action at the Chatsworth, Georgia oval. With two failed attempts to beat Mother Nature on March 7 and March 12, the $7,000 to win SAS program will not be rescheduled.”

The series’ next race is scheduled for Modoc Speedway on March 20th for the Ed Basey Memorial with $10,004 on the line for the winner. That will be a co-sanctioned race with the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series. It will then head to Cherokee Speedway on March 21st with $20,053 on the line. It too is a co-sanctioned race with the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series.

Tucker Anderson currently leads the series’ points following his win at Penton Raceway on March 6th. Payton Freeman sits just 12 points back in second while Dalton Cook is in third only 24 points behind.

Anderson is one of two winners with the series so far. Brandon Overton won twice at Screven back on February 6th and February 7th.
