Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series Cancels Stop At Tri-County Racetrack Due To Weather

The Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series announced that its upcoming stop at Tri-County Racetrack in Brasstown, North Carolina on August 22nd has been canceled due to pending inclement weather.

In a blog post the series shared the race was canceled “due to unforeseen circumstances, including pending weather over the next few days and several other factors.”

Tri-County Racetrack also stated, “It has become impossible for us to move forward this week while delivering the high-quality event our racers deserve.”

AccuWeather predicts that Brasstown, North Carolina has a 90% probability of precipitation on Friday, August 22nd and a 54% probability of thunderstorms. The site also predicts that .16 inches or rain are expected to come down.

The series is expected to be back in action on September 12th and 13th at Crossville Speedway in Crossville, Tennessee and North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama.

Dalton Cook currently leads the series points. He has an 84 point advantage over Beckham Malone, a 104 point lead of Trey Mills, a 180 point advantage over Dillard Hatchett, and 188 point lead over Zack Mitchell.
