The Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series announced that it has postponed its upcoming race at Lavonia Speedway that was expected to take place on Friday, August 15th.
The series announced in a press release, “The $5,000-to-win show at Lavonia (Ga.) Speedway, scheduled for Friday, August 15th, has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date. Series and track officials are actively working to find a date later in the fall.”
As for the reason for the postponement, the series informed Stock Car Report it was due to “scheduling conflicts.” The series has a tentative date in October circled to reschedule the race.

The series will be back in action at Smoky Mountain Speedway in Tennessee for a $5,000 to-win feature on Saturday, August 16th. Ashton Winger won the most recent race for the series bringing home $7,5000 at Clarksville on July 31st.
Dalton Cook currently leads the series’ points standings. He has a 104 point lead over Trey Mills. Beckham Malone, Zack Mitchell and Joseph Joiner round out your top 5.
