Terbo Tyler Erb announced he will be competing with the World of Outlaws in 2026.
He posted to Facebook, “The [cat] is out of the [bag] Goin’ WoO’ing in 26.”
Erb explained his decision to Spence Smithback at WorldOfOutlaws.com, “The last two years, I’ve just picked and chose. It’s been really good and I’m glad we did. The way the money is now, the money keeps going up and up for the major series. It was just time for us to give it another go this year and hopefully try to win the points. That’s the whole goal behind it.”
“It’s just a good time for us to do it,” Erb added. “I feel like we have all our ducks in a row, our equipment’s the best it’s ever been. My owner Eric [Brock], all of my sponsors are super excited to try and do it again, and it just seems like the perfect time to do it. And on top of that, we’re running good. The last two years, we’ve gotten a good grasp on what’s going on, so it’s just time to make the most of it.
As for what his main goal is, he’s got his eyes set on a championship, “Winning a championship would be the ultimate deal here.”
And he’s confident he can take on the best of the Outlaws in Bobby Pierce, Nick Hoffman, Tim McCreadie, and Ryan Gustin, “It’s just a testament to our team, we can unload anywhere. We’ve won all the way from Arizona to Florida, New York, Wisconsin, anything and anywhere in between. We obviously don’t shy away from going to races. Really, for the last five or six years, I’ve gone to basically every major event. I feel like I’ve got good notes and a good idea, and just trying to put it all into fruition this year.”
Terbo competed in 114 features last year and racked up 14 wins, 45 top 5s, and 72 top 10s. As he noted in his comments to Smithback, He’s won across the country at Tazewell Speedway, Mississippi Thunder Speedway, Crystal Motor Speedway, LaSalle Speedway, Lee County Speedway, Lincoln Speedway, Springfield Raceway, Benton Speedway, Spoon River Speedway, Duck River Raceway Park, Magnolia Motor Speedway, Greenville Speedway, and East Alabama Motor Speedway.
He competed in 20 features with the Outlaws last year. He won at Mississippi Thunder Speedway and had 6 top 5s and 11 top 10s.
And while he primarily chased a pick and choose schedule he did compete in the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour. He came up one spot short in the championship chase just 93 points behind winner Jason Feger. He had 6 wins, 13 top 5s, and 20 top 10s in 28 features on the tour.
Terbo joins Drake Troutman, Eli Johnson, Cody Overton, Ryan Gustin, Trey Mills, Tristan Chamberlain, Jake Timm, Dennis Erb Jr., Nick Hoffman, Bobby Pierce, Tim McCreadie, and Logan Zarin who have officially committed to the series.
The Outlaws’ 2026 season begins with the DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals at Volusia Raceway Park on Thursday, January 22nd. It runs through Saturday, January 24th. The series stays at Volusia for the Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals from Thursday, February 12th through Saturday the 14th.
