Terbo Tyler Erb shared more details on why he will chase the World of Outlaws Late Model Series in 2026.
Last week ahead of the Wild West Shootout, Terbo made his announcement writing, “The [cat] is out of the [bag] Goin’ WoO’ing in 26.”
He then initially explained his decision to go with the Outlaws telling Spence Smithback at WorldofOutlaws.com, “The way the money is now, the money keeps going up and up for the major series. It was just time for us to give it another go this year and hopefully try to win the points. That’s the whole goal behind it.”
“It’s just a good time for us to do it,” he added. “I feel like we have all our ducks in a row, our equipment’s the best it’s ever been. My owner Eric [Brock], all of my sponsors are super excited to try and do it again, and it just seems like the perfect time to do it. And on top of that, we’re running good. The last two years, we’ve gotten a good grasp on what’s going on, so it’s just time to make the most of it.”
Now, he’s shared more details on why he chose to go with the Outlaws telling FloRacing’s Trenton Berry, “It’s just time to try and make some more money racing. Obviously, the points money at the end of the year, either series, is a nice bonus for all your efforts, and trials, and tribulations throughout the year.”
“It just seemed more appealing to me,” he added. “Obviously, the scheduling and the strength, they can argue all day. They’re both hard. It’s not a matter of that. My biggest point was just that you go to more race tracks. I feel like I have better odds at more race tracks. And that was my logic behind it.”
“Normally, sitting somewhere for six days you’re good at is good and sitting somewhere for six days you suck at is not good,” he explained. “The more variety you can put into that the more it just opens up options to run better. I’d like to take my chances one day, make the most of it, get out of Dodge, and go to the next one. So that’s how we landed where we landed.”
