The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in partnership with Velocity Manufacturing Group opened its Most Popular Driver Contest for 2026.

“Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series fans are some of the most dedicated in all of motorsports,” said Series Director Rick Schwallie. “The Velocity Manufacturing Group Most Popular Driver Contest gives them a direct voice in honoring the driver who has made the biggest impact on and off the track.”

“At Velocity Manufacturing Group, we’re proud to support the drivers and the fans who fuel this sport,” said Co-Owner Steve Maynard. “This contest is about celebrating the connection between competitors and the fans that support them week in and week out.”

The contest works with fans casting their votes by visiting the official Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series website and choosing their driver. In order to vote, you have to enter an email, your favorite driver, and how many Lucas Oil events you attend per year. Voting is limited to one vote per person.

Only drivers who have a 100% attendance on the tour are eligible to be voted one. The winning driver will be crowned the Velocity Manufacturing Group Most Popular Driver and received a $500 cash bonus.

Last year’s winner was Jonathan Davenport, but given he’s not running the entire season this year, there will be a new Most Popular Driver this year.

The eligible drivers for this year include:

  • Brandon Overton
  • Brandon Sheppard
  • Brenden Smith
  • Brian Shirley
  • Carson Ferguson
  • Clay Harris
  • Cory Hedgecock
  • Cory Lawler
  • Dan Ebert
  • Daniel Hilsabeck
  • Devin Moran
  • Dillon McCowan
  • Freddie Carpenter
  • Garrett Alberson
  • Hudson O’Neal
  • Josh Rice
  • Kyle Bronson
  • Max Blair
  • Ricky Thornton Jr.
  • Ross Robinson
