The Northern Allstars Late Model Dirt Series, which was resurrected by James Essex in 2023, revealed its 12 race schedule for 2026.

10 of the 12 races offer $10,000 to-win while the other two will pay $7,500. The series will make four stops at Brownstown Speedway, the most visited track on the schedule. Other stops on the tour include Florence Speedway, Ponderosa Speedway, Mudlick Valley Raceway, Montpelier Speedway, Paragon Speedway, Bloomington Speedway, Lawrenceburg Speedway, and Circle City Raceway.

Mudlick Valley, Montpelier, and Bloomington are new additions to the schedule for this year. Not on the schedule from last year are Lake Cumberland and I-65 in Scottsburg, Indiana.

The series kicks off at Brownstown Speedway in the middle of March and will conclude there in the middle of August. All races will be broadcast on HuntTheFront.tv.

The 2026 schedule is down from the 2025 schedule where they had 14 races on the schedule. However, they only completed 9 races due to a number of cancellations early in the season due to weather. Of those nine races Josh Rice went on to win 5 of them. Other winners included Jason Jameson, Cory Hedgecock, Devin Moran, and Daulton Wilson. Rice went on to win the series championship securing his third in three years.

It’s unlikely that he will make it 4 in a row given he signed on with JRR Motorsports last year and has plans to chase a national tour. So it’s highly likely that the series will crown a new champion this year.

While Rice has won the championship all three years since it was revived by Essex in 2023, past champions include Jeff Wilson, Steve Barnett, Brian Shirley, Randy Korte, Steve Sheppard Jr., Dennis Erb Jr., Kevin Weaver, Jason Feger, and Brandon Sheppard.
