The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series announced that the Thursday night preliminary race for The Winter Freeze has been rained out.
In a post to Facebook, the series shared, “Due to unexpected rain and mist throughout the day, coupled with a temperature in the 30s, tonight’s $5,000 to win Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Showtime Properties season opener at Screven Motor Sports Complex has been rained-out and will not be rescheduled.”
However, they are optimistic that Friday and Saturday night will go ahead, “The weather looks much better for the rest of the weekend!”
Given the rain out, the series has changed the schedule for its Friday night program. The SEHA Hornets and SCDRA 4-Cylinders will engage in preliminary action in the morning and early afternoon. The SEHA Hornets were originally supposed to compete in hot lap qualifying and heat races tonight along with a top 6 qualifier shootout or dash.

Bronson and his team shared last night, “We are going to forego racing this weekend ,get alittle more preparation in for Volusia and beyond, as well as some family time before we hit the road for a month.”
“We do apologize to any one looking to see us race this weekend, plenty of racing coming up, and if you have the opportunity definitely check Screven out,” he added.
