Following a major pileup in the World of Outlaws Late Models race at Swainsboro on Friday, Tristan Chamberlain’s team addressed the “keyboard warriors” blaming the young driver for the incident.

At the beginning of the race Tristan Chamberlain and Jimmy Owens were door to door coming into turn 1, Chamberlain ran out of room on the inside and clipped the inside tractor tire. The contact sent his car sideways on the track and left Kyle Bronson nowhere to go, who collided with him and eventually landed somewhat on top of him albeit both cars came to a stop on their sides.

Unfortunately, the wreck also collected nearly half of the field including Trey Mills, Cody Overton, Luke Morey, Tanner English, Jackson Hise, Tim McCreadie, Ahston Winger, Jake Timm, Brian Shirley, Brent Larson, and Dustin Sorensen.

Chamberlain spoke to dirt late model insider Racin’ Jason on Saturday ahead of the World of Outlaws feature and indicated he was “good” following the wreck, and indicated that he did not think the car was damaged that bad, but would not know until he got it on the jig.

On Facebook, Chamberlain’s team addressed comments from “keyboard warriors” that were laying the blame on Chamberlain. A post on Chamberlain Racing states, “Now that things have settled and we are headed home, I would like to recap what happened Friday with Tristan’s wreck. We’ve heard and seen it all from the ‘keyboard warriors,’ and they are exactly just that. Everything from ‘he ran out of talent,’ ‘go back to running regional,’ ‘he’s a waste of money,’ and the best one yet, ‘Daddy’s little rich kid.’ You can’t help but laugh at these people and what they come up with. Most of them have no clue what this kid goes through, and he pours his heart and soul into his racing. Duane keeps telling him, as long as they are talking about you, they are leaving someone else alone.”

“They weren’t physically at the races and only saw what was shown on TV,” the post continues. “In our opinion, it was a racing deal where two drivers were going for the same spot. If you really go back and watch what happens on the front stretch, you will see it. But we get it; it’s easy for everyone to blame the young, inexperienced kid. He is out here running with the best in the business. It’s hard for everyone, and you will have bad nights.”

What do you make of Chamberlain Racing’s response? What do you make of the wreck?
