World Of Outlaws Postpones Trip To Independence Motor Speedway, No Makeup Date Announced Yet

The World of Outlaws Late Model Series postponed their previously scheduled trip to Independence Motor Speedway that was scheduled for this past Monday due to thunderstorms and expected flash flooding.

In a blog post the World of Outlaws stated, “Due to the severe thunderstorms, high winds and flash flooding expected to impact the Independence, IA area on Monday, officials from the World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series presented by DIRTVision and Independence Motor Speedway have agreed to postpone Monday Madness.”

To be clear, the race has been postponed and not canceled, but track officials and the World of Outlaws have not settled on a date yet. The World of Outlaws noted, “Series and track officials are working together to find a viable reschedule date, and more information will be announced soon.”

The World of Outlaws Late Model Series is expected to be back in action this Thursday at I-94 emr Speedway in Fergus Falls, Minnesota for the Fergus Falls Showdown. On Friday, it heads to River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, North Dakota for the Grand Forks Showdown. The racing action continues on Saturday at Norman County Raceway in Ada, Minnesota for the Norman County Showdown and concludes the weekend on Sunday at Nodak Speedway in Minot, North Dakota with the Minot Mayhem.

Bobby Pierce is the current points leader. He has a 102 point advantage over second place Nick Hoffman. Ryan Gustin currently sits in third 140 points back and rookie Drake Troutman is in fourth after his win on Saturday night at I-55 Federated Auto Parts Raceway Park. He’s 218 points back. Tim McCreadie is in fifth not too far behind Troutman just 224 points behind Pierce.
