A big night in the Buckeye State of Ohio brings the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series fueled by VP back to life on October 3. After (21) points-paying events, there have been (18) different winners in Domination Race Cars Victory Lane. Derek Rogers collected his first-ever series victory last Saturday at Skyline Speedway in the 41st Annual Harvest 50.
On Saturday, October 3, three points battles will be on the line at Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio. The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series, the Coltman Farms Battle of the Bluegrass DIRTcar Series presented by Slicker Graphics & the Valvoline Weekend Allstars will all collide for the $10,000-to-win and $500-to-start Fourth Annual Fall 40.
The Coltman Farms Racing Battle of the Bluegrass DIRTcar Series presented by Slicker Graphics will crown the 2026 champion this Saturday at Portsmouth as defending champion Colten Burdette of Parkersburg, W.V. holds a 20-point margin over Rod Conley of Wheelersburg, Ohio.
Michael Chilton of Salvisa, Ky. is the defending winner of the Fall 40 taking home the $10,000 payday over Rusty Schlenk, Colten Burdette, Jason Jameson & R.J. Conley. Josh Rice of Crittenden, Ky. was the 2024 winner and R.J. Conley of Wheelersburg, Ohio was the inaugural 2023 winner. The last three events were held at Mudlick Valley Raceway.
On Saturday at Portsmouth Raceway Park, the UMP Modifieds, Sport Mods and Crown Vics will all be on tap for the evening’s activities. Any Crate/Steel Block Late Models can race with the Super Late Model Series on Saturday for a bonus, announced later in the week. The pits open at 1:00 pm, the drivers meeting will be at 6:15 pm and on-track activity will begin at around 6:45 pm. Also, $246 will also be placed for the “In Memory of Dennis Selby Fast Time” of the Super Late Models as the Selby Family places this award at each Coltman Farms Racing Battle of the Bluegrass DIRTcar Series event in 2026.
The tire rule Saturday is Hoosier NLMT 2 & NLMT 3 on the fronts and left rear with the right rear being Hoosier NLMT 3 & NLMT 4. The series entry fee is $50 each night and $75 tow money will go to any car not making the field of 22.
