911 audio obtained by TMZ revealed that Kyle Busch was coughing up blood, was suffering from shortness of breath, and was laying on a bathroom floor while seemingly suffering from a fever as well.

The caller informs the 911 dispatch, “I’ve got an individual that’s shortness of breath, very hot, thinks he’s going to pass out, and is producing a little bit of blood, coughing up some blood.”

From there identifying information on Busch was given. He also confirmed that Busch was awake, “He is awake. He’s awake. He’s on the bathroom floor right now.”

Additionally, he requested the sirens be turned off when the ambulance arrived at the facility, “When you come in can, if you could, could you turn the sirens off? When you get here? So when you come into the main entrance of the building. The closest way to get to him is if you go to the left. Like you’ll come in and the parking lot splits to the right or the left just tell them to go to the left. I’ll be out here waiting on them. And I’ll flag them down. There’s a side door further down the side of the building and I’ll be waiting for them.”

The dispatch then advised, “Nothing else for him to eat or drink and if he gets worse in any way before they get there just call us back.”

It was previously reported by Steve Reed at the Associated Press that Busch “became unresponsive and was taken to a hospital in Charlotte” while “testing in the Chevrolet simulator in Concord on Wednesday.”

Busch’s family announced that he had been taken to a hospital on Thursday morning and was suffering a severe illness. The family posted on his social media, “Kyle has experienced a severe illness resulting in hospitalization. He is currently undergoing treatment and will not compete in any of his scheduled activities this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway. We ask for understanding and privacy as our family navigates this situation.”

NASCAR Announced that he had died just hours later at 5:40 PM ET, “We are saddened and heartbroken to share the news of the passing of Kyle Busch, a two-time Cup champion and one of our sport’s greatest and fiercest drivers. He was 41 years old.”

“We extend our deepest condolences to the Busch family, Richard Childress Racing and the entire motorsports community,” NASCAR concluded.

It was reported that Busch was suffering from some kind of sinus illness during the Cup series race at Watkins Glen on May 10th. In-car radio saw Busch requesting medical attention after the race, “Can somebody try to find Bill Heisel. He’s the kindred doctor guy. Tell him I need him after race, please.”

When asked if he wanted him at the car or at the bus, Busch responded, “Bus. I’m going to need a shot.”

At Dover a week later, Busch spoke to reporters about his health. Specifically, he was asked, “Do you feel better after whatever was bothering you in the car last week that you needed help for?”

Busch answered, “You can kinda still hear it. I’m still not great. The cough was pretty substantial last week.”

After winning the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Dover, he was also seen coughing heavily into his elbow.
