The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP would complete a weekend double shot in the Buckeye state on Saturday evening at Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville, OH for the 2nd Annual Ronnie Moran Memorial and Tyler Carpenter of Parkersburg, WV would take the race lead on lap two and never look back on his way to the victory and $6,000 payday.

The win for the 35-year-old Carpenter would be his first of the season with the series and would mark his fourth career Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP win. Carpenter would be behind the wheel of the Freddie Carpenter owned Kryptonite Race Car powered by a Mullins Race Engine and sponsored by Feight Farms, Gates Trucking, Conley Trucking, Overhead Door Company, Leonardtown Ford, Whitt’s Mobile Home Movers, All American Pool Company, and Joy Construction.

The start of the 2nd Annual Ronnie Moran Memorial Valvoline A-Main would see a pair of multi-car accidents that would not see the field make a complete lap. The third time would be the charm, with Caiden Black leading the opening lap, with fourth place starting Tyler Carpenter, Todd Brennan, Kyle Moore, and J.R. Gentry giving chase. Carpenter would work past Black off of turn two to take the race lead on lap two and would set a torrid pace at the front, already lapping slower traffic by lap five. Carpenter would hold the lead, with Black, Brennan, Moore trailing, while Colten Burdette would take the fifth position Gentry. Brennan would pressure Black for the runner-up slot and finally take the position on lap seven. Meanwhile, Carpenter continued to stretch his lead on the field, only to have the caution wave on lap twelve for a tangle in turn one involving Colton Watts and Aaron Scott. Carpenter would command the field on the restart, with Black working past Brennan for second, while Burdette would take the fourth spot from Moore. Moore and Burdette would settle into a battle for fourth, with Moore reclaiming the fourth spot on lap fifteen. The final caution waved on lap sixteen when Steve Prince would slow on the backchute. Carpenter would scoot away from the field on the restart, with Brennan and Moore working past Black for second and third, while Burdette would stay fifth. Carpenter would quickly motor away from the field again, while Brennan and Moore would begin to battle for the second spot, with Moore take the spot on lap twenty-three. As this duo continued to battle for the runner-up spot, Carpenter would continue to put distance on the field, with better than a straightaway lead with nine laps remaining, with Brennan would again take the second position from Moore on lap twenty-nine. Carpenter would enter heavy lapped traffic on lap thirty-two, but no one could close the gap on him and he would grab the win by 8.053 second over Brennan and Moore, with Black and Burdette completing the top five. The remainder of the top ten would be Rob Anderzack, Ryan Markham, Rod Conley, J.R. Gentry, and Matt Bee.
