Jackson Hise announced he will step away from super late model racing to focus on his education as he plans to attend college.
A press release shared to his the Jackson Hise Motorsports Facebook page states, ” After considerable thought and careful reflection, Jackson has made the decision to step away from Super Late Model racing to pursue new opportunities beyond the racetrack. While racing has been a significant part of his life, Jackson has chosen to focus on his education and plans to attend college as he works toward achieving new personal and professional goals.”
His explained, “I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about this decision, and it definitely wasn’t an easy one. I’m incredibly grateful for every opportunity I’ve been given, the memories I’ve made, and the people I’ve had the privilege of meeting throughout my racing career.”
He went on to thank those who have supported him through the years specifically Jason Fitzgerald and Ronnie Blair, “None of this would have been possible without the incredible people who stood behind me. I’m thankful for every friendship, every lesson, and every experience that racing has given me.”
While he is stepping away from super late model competition, he does hope to be back behind the wheel in the future, “Racing will always be a part of who I am, and I have no doubt I’ll be back behind the wheel somewhere down the road. For now, I’m excited to begin this next chapter and pursue the goals I’ve set for myself.”
Hise was the 602 Late Model Champion at All-Tech Raceway and Rookie of the Year in 2024 with the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series in his first full time in a super late model.
He is currently 9th in the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series points standings just 104 points behind current leader Ashton Winger. In six features, he had two Top 10s. In April at North Georgia Speedway he finished 10 after starting in 24th in the first of a doubleheader at the track.. He then duplicated that result the next night at the track after starting in 12th.
His best finish of the year was also with the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series, but was a non-points race at Needmore Speedway. He finished fourth behind Brandon Overton, Cody Overton, and Joseph Joiner.
He was also competing with the Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series. After starting two of the three features the series has run this year, he is currently 11th in the standings. He finished 10th at Cochran in the middle of April and then 8th at Needmore in the middle of May.
In June, Hise journeyed to Eldora to compete in the Dirt Late Model Dream. He finished 8th in a B-Main for the FloRacing Night in America Series race on Wednesday night ahead of the Dream. In his preliminary night on Thursday, he had a very solid 11th place finish. He finished 6th in his B-Main on Saturday, three spots out of a transfer.
After Eldora, he made a single race appearance with the Summer Nationals at the Brownstown Bullring where he finished 8th.
