The PA Posse 410 Sprint Cars announced that James McFadden will fill in for the injured Anthony Macri in the Macri Motorsports 39M car for the Tuscarora 50 at Port Royal Speedway.
The series shared in a post to social media, “James McFadden will be behind the wheel of the Macri Motorsports 39M for the Tuscarora 50 weekend at Port Royal Speedway. McFadden will shake down the car at the Labor Day Classic.”

Macri was injured during the Capitani Classic at Knoxville Raceway at the beginning of August. On the opening lap of Heat 4, Brady Bacon and Anthony Macri collided in the middle of turn 1 with Bacon’s left front making contact with Macri’s right rear. The contact sent both cars flying into the outside wall. After smashing the wall, Macri’s car began flipping down the track before coming to a stop on its side with only the chassis remaining.

Macri and his team shared an update on his health following the wreck revealing he “was taken to the hospital last night following the accident at Knoxville. After evaluation, he was diagnosed with a broken clavicle and a bruised lung. He is in some pain today, but is doing well and remains in good spirits.”
“He’s understandably disappointed to be sidelined from the car again, but he’s staying positive and focused on the road ahead,” the team continued. “We also can’t thank our safety equipment manufacturers enough, along with XXX Chassis, for building a race car that did its job when it mattered most. Last night was a hard reminder of just how important quality safety equipment and a properly built race car are.”

Jeremy Elliott of Sprint Car Unlimited shared more details that the deal with McFadden is only for these two races at Port Royal Speedway and then he will return to Australia. He said, “It should be noted that this deal doesn’t go past this event. McFadden will head back to Australia while Macri Motorsports waits for the return of Anthony Macri.”
As for when he might return, Elliott said, “A team representative told me that Macri is still on pace to return in time to compete in the Williams Grove National Open on October 2nd and 3rd.”
The Labor Day Classic takes place on Monday, September 7th and is sanctioned by the PA Posse 410 Sprint Series. The Tuscarora 50 takes place a few days later on September 12th and is a High Limit Racing sanctioned race at the track. High Limit Racing will be at the track the entire weekend with action beginning on September 10th and continuing through the 11th and concluding on the 12th for the Tuscarora 50.
McFadden has competed in 32 races at Port Royal since 2016 according to SprintCarRatings.com. In that time he has 5 Top 5s, and 13 Top 10s. In 2026, he competed in three races at the track and recorded a third, 18th, and 21st for an average finish of 14. The third place came back in July during PA Speedweek. That’s also his best finish at the track. He previously did it at in 2023 during the Nittany Showdown with the World of Outlaws and in July 2016.
