Ashton Torgerson announced that he will join Chad Boat Industries for the upcoming 360 and 410 Knoxville Nationals.

In a press release shared to Facebook, Torgerson stated, “I’m excited to announce that I’ll be joining Chad Boat Industries for the next two weeks at Knoxville Raceway. I’ll compete with the team in this week’s 360 Knoxville Nationals before returning next week for the 410 Knoxville Nationals.”

“I’m extremely thankful to Chad Boat and everyone at Chad Boat Industries for giving me this opportunity. Knoxville is a place every sprint car driver dreams of competing, especially during the Nationals, and I’m looking forward to representing the team on one of the biggest stages in our sport. While my plans are set for Knoxville, I’m still looking for opportunities beyond the Nationals.”

“For now, my focus is on Knoxville,” he concluded. “I can’t wait to get started with Chad Boat Industries and compete in two of the biggest sprint car events of the year.”

The announcement to join Chad Boat Industries comes a little over 24 hours since he announced he was parting ways with 3 Stooges Racing. He made that announcement on August 3, “Effective immediately, I have made the decision to part ways with the number 51 3 Stooges Racing team.”

“First off, I want to thank Jeff West and Noah West for giving me the opportunity to keep chasing my dream of racing with the World of Outlaws,” he continued. “I’ll always be grateful that they believed in me and gave me that chance. While this chapter has come to an end, I’m proud of the effort everyone put in, and I wish the entire 3 Stooges Racing team nothing but the best moving forward.”

“As of right now, I don’t have any plans in place for the remainder of the season. I’m actively looking at any opportunities that may come my way, and I’m ready to get back to the racetrack as soon as the right opportunity presents itself,” he added. “Thank you to all of my sponsors, fans, family, and everyone who continues to support me through the highs and lows of this journey. This isn’t the end—it’s just another chapter. We’ll keep pushing forward and see where the road leads next.”

Of note, Steven Snyder Jr. who had been competing with the Chad Boat Industries team has replaced Torgerson at 3 Stooges Racing. Snyder was tapped as the team’s part-time Non-Winged 410 Sprint Car driver back in May with a press release from Spire Motorsports sharing, “CB Industries and Spire Motorsports will also field a part-time USAC Sprint Car entry with Steven Snyder, Jr., behind the wheel.”

That announcement came after Snyder filled in for Logan Seavey at the High Limit race at Texas Motor Speedway in their Winged Sprint Car. He would go on to compete in the Winged Sprint Car with the team at the High Limit race at Grandview on May 19th and then the Kings Royal week at Eldora Speedway.

Torgerson is currently 13th in the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series points standings. He is second in the Rookie of the Year battle with Emerson Axsom, 268 points back. That gap will increase as he will be missing the Outlaws trip to I-55 Federated Auto Parts Raceway Park for the Ironman 55.
