Bobby Pierce revealed his wrap for the Dirt Late Model Dream wrap and like Ethan Dotson and Drake Troutman, he showcased a patriotic theme.
Pierce shared the wrap on Facebook, “The team is excited to finally show off our new American-themed Dirt Late Model Dream wrap this week at Eldora Speedway as we kick off night one with FloRacing Night in America.”
“I can’t thank this crew enough for the work they put into getting this brand new car race ready. Dad, Justin, Darian, Dawson, and Leka have absolutely busted their tails alongside me the last three days,” he added. “We got home Sunday morning at 5 AM and worked nonstop until we ran out of time yesterday. Countless hours, late nights, and a whole lot of dedication went into making this happen, and we hope you love it as much as we do.”
“Now it’s time to go racing and see if we can find ourselves in Victory Lane with this beaut,” he concluded.
Pierce and his team are not the only ones to debut patriotic-themed wraps to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. Ethan Dotson and his ASD Motorsports unveiled their wrap at Mansfield Speedway a couple of days early.
Drake Troutman and his G.R. Smith Motorsports team also rolled their wrap out a little bit early at Mansfield as well.
Dream week kicks off with the FloRacing Night in America series race tonight. The race will pay out $20,000 to the winner and $1,000 to start. And the series makes it clear that it serves as a “tune-up for the 32nd running of the Dirt Late Model Dream” as it lets drivers and team race on the track ahead of preliminary night racing for the Dream, which takes place on Thursday and Friday nights.
Brandon Sheppard is the current points leader after a single night of racing at Spoon River Speedway back in May. Hudson O’Neal is six points behind in second while Pierce sits in third just 9 points out. Tyler Erb is 12 points back in fourth and Devin Moran is fifth just 15 points behind.
On Thursday night preliminary action begins for the 32nd Annual Dirt Late Model Dream. Pierce will be in action tomorrow as well. The format of the event
sees the field split into two different qualifying nights. The track explains, “Each driver will compete in one preliminary night program – Thursday or Friday. Drivers may request a particular night, but officials cannot guarantee all requests get fulfilled. Ultimately, Thursday and Friday fields will be competitively balanced for the good of both competitors and fans.”
The qualifying order for these nights will be based on a random draw. Drivers will then take on hot laps and qualifying. The heat races are different from your typical standard program in that they will be inverted. After the heats there will be B-Features and then the 50-Lap $30,000 to-win A-Feature.
On Saturday, there will be six heat races that are seeded through the track’s Every Lap Matters points system that is based on the preliminary nights and then inverted based on the spin of the track’s Wheel of Misfortune. There will then be two B-Features and finally the Dirt Late Model Dream.
The Every Lap Matters points system awards drivers points based on how they qualify, where they finish in the heat races, and how they finish in the feature. Points are also awarded to the first 10 cars that do not qualify for the feature. Here’s how the point system breaks down:
Multi-Car Qualifying: the field will be split into two flights for Multi-Car Qualifying (Flight 1 & 2).
