Bobby Pierce hit the 20 win mark for the fifth consecutive year with his World of Outlaws victory at Sharon Speedway on Friday night, but he’s not satisfied with that number.

Speaking to DirtonDirt.com’s Kyle McFadden after the win, Pierce said, “It’s like any other job. This quarter, we’re behind quota, and we need to catch up.” In fact, McFadden reports that Pierce will not consider the season a success unless he achieves 30 wins for the year.

Pierce is actually doing better this year than last year. He achieved 20 wins on July 13th of last year at Sharon. This year, as noted above, he got his 20th win at Sharon on July 11th. In 2024, Pierce did string a number of wins together through the middle of July last year winning the opening nights at Huset’s Speedway on July 18th and 19th. He then won at Clay County Fair Speedway on July 21st and finished the month with a win at the Prairie Dirt Classic on July 27th. In total he had amassed 24 wins by the end of July.

That momentum continued into the month of August where he won two features at Cedar Lake, the prelim night for the North-South 100 at Florence, the North-South 100, and features at Lernerville,  Atomic, and 300 Raceway. He had 31 wins by the end of August. He eventually finished the season with 38 wins bagging the World 100 at Eldora, two wins at Knoxville in September, the Dirt Track World Championship at Eldora,  two features at Pennsboro, and a feature win during the World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in November.

Despite being ahead based on the calendar year, Pierce explained why he feels he’s behind quota, “We won a lot of those crown jewels. This year, Deer Creek got rained out and I wont that last year, so I’m like, ‘Man, I wanted to win that three times in a row. Now I have to tally that as a little behind, or maybe not behind, but man, it’s going to be a lot. And no XR races, so it’s going to be tougher. It’s going to be tougher to get 38 wins.”

In fact, Pierce was realistic about his chances of duplicating his crown jewel success from last year. He told McFadden, “Like you said, I won all the big races, which is super hard to do. Like, I won the World, Knoxville, the Dirt Track World Championship, the North-South, Cedar Lake. I mean, frick. It’s going to be tough. If I can win one of them or a couple of them, I’ll be happy.”

He still has plenty of chances to double his wins and best his win total from last season. He’s got around 45 races listed on his schedule, which is around the same he had on his schedule last year. So he’ll have to win around half of them to get to the 40-win mark. He’ll next be in action tonight at Shelby County Speedway with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. He’ll stay with Lucas Oil as it heads to Huset’s Speedway for the Silver Dollar Nationals this weekend. Next week is the Prairie Dirt Classic at Fairbury.

In August, he’s got the USA Nationals at Cedar Lake, the North-South 100 at Florence Speedway, and a number of World of Outlaws races at Highland, Spoon River, Maquoketa, and Arrowhead. For September, he’ll kick the month off at Eldora for the World 100 then head to Volunteer Speedway for the FloRacing Night in America race. He’ll also compete with the Outlaws at Needmore and Senoia before heading to the Knoxville Nationals. He closes out September at Tri-State Speedway for the Flo series and two dates at Tri-City Speedway with the Outlaws.

Pierce will head to Humboldt Speedway and 81 Speedway to begin the month of October with the Outlaws. He’ll also be at Boothill Speedway with the Outlaws before heading to Eldora for the 45th Dirt Track World Championship. In November, he’s got the World Finals and two Flo Series races at Senoia. He closes out the year at the Gateway Dirt Nationals at the Dome in St. Louis.
