The USRA American Racer Modified Series presented by Day Motor Sports heads deep into the Ark-La-Tex region next week for one of the most anticipated specials of the early summer schedule with the inaugural “Battle of the States” at Boothill Speedway.
The three-day program begins Thursday, June 4 with an open practice session before two complete nights of racing Friday and Saturday, June 5-6, featuring ARMS series regulars taking on many of the top USRA Modified competitors from Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma.
Saturday night’s championship program will feature an increased $3,000-to-win top prize as the weekend concludes with one of the richest purses of the season to date for the ARMS competitors.
Two complete race programs will be contested across the weekend, with full ARMS championship points awarded both Friday and Saturday night.
Friday’s main event will pay $2,000-to-win and $250-to-start, while Saturday’s finale increases to $3,000-to-win and $250-to-start. Entry fees for each evening will also remain at the standard $125 per night.

What ARMS teams especially need to know heading into the weekend is that the event will be operated and scored by Boothill Speedway officials throughout the program.
Speedway officials have indicated the event will utilize the standard ARMS race format, including group A/B qualifying sets to determine heat race lineups.
However, there will be one major difference from standard ARMS touring events — there will be no A-Main provisionals awarded either night.
Only the 24 drivers who successfully transfer through qualifying and heat race competition will earn starting spots in each evening’s feature event, placing additional importance on qualifying performance and heat race execution throughout the weekend.
With strong regional support expected from the Ark-La-Tex area and a contingent of touring regulars making the trip south, the Battle of the States is shaping up to be one of the most competitive events on the ARMS schedule this season.
