Brandon Overton is doing it for Dale Jr. and he’s going all out with a brand new helmet, suit, and an upcoming wrap.

First, Overton shared his new helmet from Bell in the classic red and black colors of Budweiser with the word “Bud” emblazoned on the side of it. On the bottom half of the helmet are black, white, and red stripes. Above the “Bud” is Overton’s nickname “Big Sexy.” Additionally, the helmet features a classic open face look while being fully enclosed. But that’s not all. The way it makes it look like a classic open face helmet is by having a face on the helmet underneath the visor as well as the microphone.

Overton shared it on Facebook and wrote, “Doing it for Dale…..Jr. Shout out to Austin at Polen Designs for leading the creativity on this ‘open-face’ throwback to Jr’s rookie year.”

For comparison, here’s what Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s helmet looked like when he competed in the World 600 back in 1999.

Along with the helmet, Overton shared a new firesuit as well. He wrote on Facebook, “One step closer. Wrap reveal tomorrow.”

The new wrap will debut on the track when Overton and the rest of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series roll into Georgetown Speedway to kick off the series Mid-Atlantic swing this weekend. They’ll compete in the Melvin L. Joseph Memorial at Georgetown Speedway in Georgetown, DE on April 24th and then head to BAPS Motor Speedway in York Haven, PA on the 25th. It wraps up the three-race swing at Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Maryland on April 26th.

Overton currently sits third in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series points standings. He’s 95 points behind current leader Devin Moran. He’s 80 points behind second place Hudson O’Neal, and he’s got a five point advantage over fourth place Ricky Thornton Jr.

He’s heading into the weekend after finishing 7th at Brownstown and 3rd at Atomic back at the end of March when the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series last competed. However, he’s racked up a couple wins at Tazewell Speedway at the beginning of April and most recently at Volunteer Speedway on April 15th. He also had strong runs at Volunteer on the 17th and 18th finishing 3rd and 4th respectively.
