Brock Zearfoss will replace Hank Davis in the Michael Dutcher Motorsprots No. 17GP as the team continues to chase the High Limit Racing series schedule.
Davis announced on July 7th that he had been relived of his duties as the driver of the car. He shared on Facebook, “The 17GP team has made the decision to relieve me of my driving duties, effective immediately.”
“While this was not my decision and certainly not the outcome I had hoped for, I am grateful for the opportunity to have driven for the team and for the experiences gained along the way,” he continued. “I want to thank my family, sponsors, and everyone who has supported me throughout this chapter. Your support means more than you know.”
“I’m looking forward to whatever opportunity comes next and see where this journey leads! I can’t wait to get back behind the wheel when the right opportunity comes along,” he concluded.
A press release from Fully Injected Motorsports announced Zearfoss is his replacement. It states, “The “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss is going all in, set to join car owner Michael Dutcher in a full-on High Limit Racing campaign for the remainder of 2026.”
“I’m super grateful for this opportunity. I got the call on Monday, so it’s been a busy few days,” Zearfoss said. “Michael [Dutcher] has big goals and a lot of ambition and I’m going to do everything I can to bring all of that to life. The High Limit Racing schedule is really lucrative, and the competition is tough, but I’m confident in what we can achieve.”
The duo will debut at Fremont Speedway’s Hollywood Casino High Stakes Showdown on Monday, July 13th with the High Limit Series. They will continue to compete in Ohio as the series heads to Eldora Speedway for the Double Down Duels on July 15th and then the $100,000 to-win Joker’s Jackpot on July 16th. They will stay at Eldora for the Knight Before the Kings Royal on Friday, July 17th with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series and then the $200,000 to-win King’s Royals on Saturday, July 18th.
On top of following the High Limit Racing series, the team also plans other “hit and miss” events including the Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway.
In 2026, Zearfoss has two wins, 7 top 5s, and 21 top 10s. His two wins came at Port Royal Speedway at the beginning of May and Selinsgrove Speedway in the beginning of June.
Zearfoss was the Port Royal Speedway track champion in 2017. He would get his first World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series win that year as well at Williams Grove Speedway. He also won the prestigious Brad Doty Classic at Attica Raceway Park in 2019.
