The Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprints announced that their Friday night race at Dodge County Fairgrounds will be postponed after the track fell victim to a “monumental storm” on Friday morning.

The series shared in a post to Facebook, “Unfortunately, Dodge County Fairgrounds has received a monumental storm over the past hour and we are postponing tonight’s Harry Neitzel Tribute.”

“As much as we would love to give it a go, with current conditions we likely would not even be able to start track prep until well into the afternoon with the entire track under standing water and the grounds themselves (pits/midway area) are also under water,” the track explained. “We are looking at options for a make-up date before season’s end! We will provide more updates on that in the coming days.”

With the race at the Dodge County Fairgrounds getting rained out, the series heads to 141 Speedway on September 5th. It will conclude the Labor Day weekend at The Hill Raceway on September 6th. 

Rookie Paul Nienhiser is the current points leader. He has a 22 point advantage over Travis Arenz and a 25 point advantage over fellow rookie Will Armitage. Logan Julien is in fourth place, 89 points back. Scott Neitzel is fifth. He has a 255 point deficit.

The season is quickly coming to a close and there are only 7 races left on the calendar including the aforementioned races at 141 Speedway and The Hill Raceway. There is also a doubleheader at the Jackson Motorplex on September 18th and 19th. The series will conclude with another doubleheader at Outagamie Speedway on September 25th and then the Plymouth Dirt Track on September 26th.
