Chase Briscoe Purchases Brent Marks Racing And His High Limit Racing Franchise, Marks To Remain As Driver

Chase Briscoe and Brent Marks announced that Briscoe has purchased Brent Marks Racing and his High Limit Racing franchise.

The deal will keep Marks as not only the pilot of the No. 19, but also the General Manager of the Chase Briscoe Racing team. Additionally, Magical Vacation Planners has joined the team as a sponsor.

During a press conference announcing the deal at Iowa Speedway, Marks discussed how initial talks began seemingly after he and Logan Fenton parted ways in May. “We had a situation early in the year that I had to make an announcement on and it was literally a day after that Chase sends me a text. That’s why I said I thought it was a joke at first. What joke is someone playing on me right now?” 

Marks went on to discuss that he will still be running the team with Briscoe’s support, “I still obviously want to drive and race the car, but I still want to manage it. I still want to run it the way I want to run it. I feel like I can grow this organization to a championship caliber team. I feel like we’re close now, but we can’t get over that hurdle. I think the opportunities that Chase is providing me and the team are going to be really, really special. And I think we are going to be able to accomplish those goals that I personally have and as well as accomplish Chase’s goals as well.”

In a separate interview, Marks made it clear that nothing on the ground with the team will be changing in the short term, “Everything is staying in place. That’s what’s so perfect about this. My guys, the crew, they work so hard. They’re so deserving of this as well. Nothing’s changing. All our equipment, the cars, everything is staying the same. That’s what we built and want to continue on that.”

Additionally, he shared that this deal will relieve quite a bit of stress from him and allow him to unlock his full potential as a driver and crew chief to pursue a High Limit Racing championship, “Taking the weight off my shoulders. The resourcing that Chase is going to be able to provide myself and our team and the whole organization is going to be awesome. It’s given me an opportunity to more concentrate on the driving side and manage the race team still and so on and so forth. I want to be the leader that everyone deserves. It’s been so hard to be that person whenever you do have the financial stress of all this on you. Like I said in my press conference there I mentioned I’ve gone weeks and even months without even paying myself because of the health of the team mattered more to me than my personal benefits. And it’s so hard to live life like that.”

“I want to do this because I love it and I do love this and I want to race race cars and just go out and have fun. And that’s what I want to do. And this gives me the opportunity to do that without the stress of it all,” he concluded.

As for Briscoe, a press release from High Limit Racing reported that he indicated this was a dream come true and gets him back to his roots. “Sprint Car racing has been in my blood since birth and was really my first love in motorsports. It is part of my family’s history, and it is where I learned everything about racing and built the foundation for the driver I am today.”

“Having a full-time team competing in a national series is truly a dream come true for me. Ever since I was a kid, my dream has been to become a NASCAR Cup Series driver and own a sprint car team, similar to my hero, Tony Stewart.”

While the team is currently just Marks’ No. 19 car, Briscoe and Marks have plans to expand it. Briscoe shared, “I remember having the determination to keep racing without knowing where the next opportunity would come from. I want this organization to help create a path forward for the next generation of racers.”

Marks is currently sixth in the High Limit Racing Championship Standings. He is 139 points behind current leader Rico Abreu. In 31 features, he has 3 wins, 15 Top 5s, and 19 Top 10s. His three wins have come at Fremont, Eldora, and Port Royal.

Outside of High Limit competition, he also won with the World of Outlaws at Knoxville in June and then at Skagit Speedway in a Dirt Cup preliminary. 

The team currently holds the Jack card in the High Roller Club, which is worth a guaranteed payout of $280,000 for 2026. There are currently 10 cards in the High Roller Club. A team’s card is based on a team’s combined performance over the past two years. Each of the cards will increase in value in 2027 with all of them jumping to a total of $2,925,000.
