Tye Wolfgang, the Crew Chief for the Vermeer Motorsports No. 55 car, announced that the team plans to return to High Limit Racing competition for the 2027 season.

During the High Limit Racing Championship Awards Banquet, Wolfgang declared, “We still have a couple minor details to iron out, but I am excited to say that Vermeer Motorsports will be back next year on the High Limit deal. And we look forward to seeing all you guys again.”

Vermeer Motorsports finished 9th in the High Limit Racing standings, 120 points behind 8th place Buch Motorsports and driver Tanner Holmes. The team was attempting to finish at least 8th or higher in order to secure membership in the High Roller Club. Late in the season, with the battle for that 8th-place spot tight, Vermeer replaced season-long driver Kerry Madsen with Brady Bacon for the final 10 races in an effort to close the gap. The move did not work out and they ended up in ninth.

To earn a permanent High Roller Club card for 2028 a team must maintain full attendance in both 2026 and 2027 and either finish in the top three in either season or finish 8th or better both years. While Vermeer did not finish 8th this year, they still have an opportunity to earn membership for 2028 by finishing in the top three in the 2027 standings.

A High Roller Club membership provides guaranteed annual payouts independent of race purses, totaling up to $18 million across 2026–2029 and rising each year. Teams are given cards based on their two-year average finish in the series points standings. The cards have titles based on of a deck of cards with Ace being the highest and it going down with King, Queen, Jack, down through the 5.

For 2026, the Ace card paid out $425,000 to Rico Abreu and his Tony Stewart Racing team. You can see the other card values for 2026 below:

Outside of the High Roller Club, the series does have what it calls a “Joker Fund.” This “Joker Fund” supports up to eight full-time prospective teams pursuing membership into the High Roller Club and offers more than $1.2 million for both the 2026 and 2027 seasons.

The series announced that depending on where a team finishes in the points standings they could earn a maximum of $350,000 in 2026 and 2027. There are at least six Joker cards that have values of $100,000 or more.
