Denny Hamlin shared his theory on where Brad Keselowski will end up after his split with RFK Racing at the end of this season.

Hamlin’s theory came in the wake of Keselowski’s comments stating that he believes he can win in tier one equipment ahead of the Cup race at Charlotte this past weekend.

He told members of the media, “I know I’m capable of winning more. I mean you’re right I’ve only won once in the last five years, but then I’ve got like eight or nine second place finishes and a lot of shoulda, woulda, coulda’s that were outside of our control. I feel like in tier 1 equipment that I can win a lot more races.”

From there Keselowski compared himself to Mark Martin, who also left Roush at the end of his career to compete with Ginn Motorsports and Dale Earnhardt Inc., Hendrick Motorsports, and Michael Waltrip Racing. Martin had a standout year with Hendrick Motorsports in 2009, where he won five races and finished second in the points behind Jimmie Johnson.

“I was thinking about it the other day with some different comments and I feel like a really similar conversation in my career to where like a Mark Martin was circa 2004 and 2005. People were looking at his recent successes and saying he couldn’t do it. He got the right opportunity and whether it was the DEI car then the Hendrick car and he was super competitive and could win races.”

“When you’re not in the right opportunity it doesn’t matter who you are as a driver,” Keselowski continued. “There’s an old Kevin Harvick saying. ‘You can’t make a slow race car go fast.’ And you can’t drive a slow race car fast. That’s just how it is. And I don’t think our cars are awful, but clearly we’re not tier 1. I’m proud of the work that we put in and I’m proud of where I’m at as a driver and I feel comfortable in tier 1 that I could win races,

While he admits that RFK Racing is not tier 1, he says the potential is there, “There’s always been potential for RFK to be tier 1. Yes.”

On the most recent episode of Actions Detrimental, Hamlin reacted to this comments while sharing his theory where Keselowski will end up in 2027.

“He’s leaving enough Easter eggs that I have my own theory of where he’s going, but I think it would be inappropriate for me to say.”

Nevertheless, he seemingly shared his theory, “I think it’s down to two teams because he keeps saying, ‘I can win in tier 1 equipment.’ And there are a couple tier 1 equipment teams that are not running well. … Chevy.”

Hamlin then shared, “Tier 1 means you get the general, I believe, GM information. You get all the — I don’t even know what you’re getting — but they call them tier 1. There are a handful of Chevrolet teams.”

Hamlin’s co-host Jared Allen then shared all of the tier 1 Chevrolet teams that includes: Hendrick, Trackhouse, and RCR.

Hamlin then shared, “He’s throwing out Easter eggs. I’m going to pick them up and I’m going to open them. He keeps saying I can win in a tier 1 organization. He’s not going to Hendrick. He’s not going to Penske. He’s not going to Gibbs. What does that leave?”

“There could be some cards that get shuffled,” he added. “People move early to other places. I believe there could be something that could be had and Brad ends up at a tier one team. That’s what we’re going to do here on Monday. We’re going to speculate until it comes out as fact. We’re just going to sit here and speculate.”

Finally, he added, “There’s some pieces being moved around to make room. And that is totally me just making assumptions. I do not have an idea and no one has told me [crap], but that is what I feel.”
