Devin Moran revealed what broke on his car and caused him to spin out with just three laps to go in the FloRacing Night in America series race at Eldora before The Dream preliminaries.
Moran had slowly and methodically made his way up from 9th to 4th. However, shortly after working his way around Nick Hoffman for fourth, Moran spun on the back stretch and took his car to the hauler. He eventually finished in 20th.
In a Facebook post following the race, Moran explained that the problem with the car was “just the battery shorting out.”
He wrote, “Started the feature in 9th and we were running 4th when we lost oil pressure. We diagnosed the problem and thankfully it was just the battery shorting out. We’re getting the car fixed up now to be ready for tomorrow!”
After his 20th place finish, Moran currently sits in 7th tied with Ryan Gustin in the FloRacing Night in America series points. He’s 132 points behind current leader Bobby Pierce.
