Gavan Boschele appeared to promise revenge against Max Reaves after the two battled for the win at the Springfield Mile during the Calypso 100 with the ARCA Menards Series.
In the closing laps, Reaves got held up by a lap car and drifted up the track. Boschele quickly filled the gap and went three-wide with the lap car. Reaves then came down the track and made contact with Boschele. Boschele responded by turning his car up the track and into Reaves. They both then dove into the corner and Boschele got sideways. Reaves slipped to his outside and went on to the win the race.
On the cooldown lap, Boschele, who finished fifth, expressed his displeasure with Reaves with some sign language.

In victory lane, Reaves was met with a chorus of boos, he responded saying, “This is the most boos I’ve got. I got to thank everybody. This is the most sound decibels we’ve gotten on the boo scale so far. … The 25 there, I don’t know. He got under me off of 4. It’s like a few to go. I ran him down the straightaway. I got to see a replay. I don’t know if I hit him going into one if I did my bad. Racing’s racing. We’re at dirt track. I don’t know. It sucked. I mean I was glad he kept going because I didn’t have to caution. I got to drive away with it.”

Boschele reportedly attempted to confront Reaves in victory lane with Ryan Mahan of the State Journal-Register reporting, “Gavan Boschele is LIVID! He came out onto victory lane to confront Max Reaves for that spin out. ARCA officials had to hold him back.”

After attempting to confront Reaves, Boschele took to social media where he issues his apparent threat, “If you can’t beat em wreck em, I’ll see everyone at DuQuoin.. That’s gonna be some fun I’ll tell you that 🐕”

Meanwhile Reaves shared on Instagram, “Blessed to put our Cook Out Victory Junction Camry in VL fair and square at the fairgrounds 💪🏼🏁 Thank you to my guys as always and everyone that has a hand in this!”

The ARCA Menards Series will head to the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds for another dirt race on September 6 for the Audubon Park 100. Racing action is expected to begin at 7:30 pm CT / 8:30 pm ET. It will be televised on FS1.
