The Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Dirt Late Model Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Touring Series will be back in the Empire State for the second straight week this Saturday night (July 11) in the season’s only appearance at Woodhull Raceway. Event #7 of the weather-plagued season will pay $4,000 to-win. Warm-ups will begin at 6:00 p.m. followed by qualifying and racing.
The cars and stars of the Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Tour will convene on Woodhull’s high-banked, 1/3-mile paperclip in New York’s southern tier for the third time in the last four years, but first since August 6, 2024. On that night, Bryce Davis won his uncle Darwin Davis’ memorial event. In 2023, Jeremy Wonderling, who resides only 30 miles from Woodhull in Wellsvill,e scored the popular win. The only other appearance by the Tour to Woodhull was back in 2014 when Wayne Robertson was victorious.
In addition to Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Touring Series points being awarded, Colussy Chevrolet National Weekly Series points will also be on the line in addition to RUSH Track Pack points. The top six drivers in RUSH Weekly Series member points at Woodhull will share $2,500 with $1,000 going to the champion at season’s end.
Woodhull is in its seventh year as a RUSH weekly-sanctioned track. Woodhull has completed seven Colussy Chevrolet Weekly Series events to date this year with four different winners. Leading the way is Steve LeBarron with three victories over Brett Marlatt with two. Single victories have gone to Tour racers Zack Carley and Austin Allen. Ironically, none of those four racers have ever won a RUSH Tour event.
“We look forward to returning to Woodhull this Saturday night,” stated RUSH Director Vicki Emig. “The last two Tour events at Woodhull were held on a Tuesday night with threatening weather. So far the weather is looking good for Saturday, which would be a relief if that holds true as to date we’ve only had one night out of 16 scheduled race nights without a chance of rain. Woodhull’s unique configuration will provide a challenge to racers.”
There have been six different winners in the first six Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Touring Series events of 2026. Kyle Hardy won the $5,000 opener at Georgetown for the 2021 Series Champion’s 15th career Tour victory. Wonderling won his third Eriez Tour event in the last six races on May 17. Despite forecasts calling for 90% chance of storms on June 6, Sharon remained dry all day and night as Joe Martin won his first Tour event in nearly three seasons with his third straight victory at Sharon. Ben Easler won his first career Tour feature on June 13 at Stateline. Max Blair won the $20,000 “Bill Emig Memorial” presented by Sunoco Race Fuels for his all-time leading 37th career Tour win on June 27 at Lernerville. Last Saturday night at Stateline saw Demetrios Drellos finally capture his first career Tour victory.
Wonderling, who is in search of his unprecedented sixth Series Championship, currently leads the $20,000 to-win points by 21 over Drellos- the 2025 3C Graphix Rookie-of-the-Year. Christian Schneider jumped from sixth to third in points following his fourth place finish last Saturday night, which was his fourth straight top nine effort. Daryl Charlier, the 2024 3C Graphix Rookie-of-the-Year, is fourth over Kurt Stebbins, who leads the 2026 RoY standings. After his first DNF of the season, Austin Allen dropped from third in points down to sixth as Easler, Jason Knowles, Ashton Briggs, and Kyle Zimmerman complete the top 10.
