CRUSA and Crate Late Model driver Jeff Smith called for Bobby Pierce to get “stuffed in the fence” and have the “crap smacked out of him a few times” following contact between Pierce and Tanner English during a heat race at Cedar Lake Speedway.
On the final lap of the first heat race, Pierce drove it in deep heading into turn three to fill a gap that Tanner English left on the bottom of the track. Pierce was able to get side by side as they worked through the two turns. The two then made contact with English getting sideways as they drag raced back to the finish line with Pierce besting him and claiming the final transfer spot.
Following the conclusion of the race, English expressed his displeasure by throwing his right rear quarter panel at Pierce on the cool down lap.

Following the conclusion of the heat race, Pierce explained what happened between him and English, “I got under Tanner in three. He kinda pushed a little bit and he tried to close the door, but I was there. It’s what happens when they water the track right before a heat race. It’s kinda slimy. A lot of us were struggling out there.”
“So I think Tanner kinda hit a little bit of it, pushed. Like I said, I kinda had the spot. He made some contact on my car after the race so-. I don’t know. They’re going to do what they want. I think it was some pretty good racing. For the transfer spot, you kinda gotta do what you gotta do. But I feel like I was kinda there,” Pierce concluded.
On Facebook, Smith shared his thoughts following the contact, “While we’re talking truth about super racing. 32 one of the most talented guys to strap in. Needs stuffed in the fence and the 💩 smacked out of him a few times. My opinion you don’t have to agree but the truths the truth!”
In the comments Smith also took issue with Pierce’s post-race comments saying, “That’s the part that bugs me the most. Just tell the truth. I doored him for a transfer spot.”
