Josh Rice and JRR Motorsports that the two will team up in 2026 to chase a national tour.

A press release posted to Facebook announced, “Beginning in 2026, Josh Rice will compete full time for the JRR Motorsports team, with a complete schedule still being finalized.”

Rice said, “I feel incredibly fortunate to have this opportunity to drive for the Rattliff Family. Justin and James have deep roots in dirt late model racing and I look forward to working with a group that we have competed against for so many years. I can’t wait for the opportunity!”

Rick Jones’ Sunesis Racing Team, who Rice raced for this year will cease operation at the end of the year following the Gateway Dirt Nationals. Rice said, “Rick has been one of the main reasons I’m able to get this opportunity with JRR. He pushed for this, and we’re incredibly grateful for his support these last 12 years. If it were not for Rick, I wouldn’t be in the position I am.”

Rice will begin his time with JRR Motorsports this upcoming weekend at Atomic Speedway on October 25th.

However, that won’t be the first time he’s teamed up with JRR Motorsports this year. Back on October 11th, he piloted Justin Ratliff’s car to victory lane at Atomic Speedway.

Rice joins JRR Motorsports following the announcement of Daulton Wilson’s departure earlier today. In a press release JRR Motorsports announced, ” Change is constant in motorsports, and today, JRR Motorsports announced that it is parting ways with driver Daulton Wilson, marking the end of a successful four-year partnership.”

Team owner James Rattliff said, “This was a very hard decision for everyone at JRR. Daulton has always carried himself with professionalism and represented JRR Motorsports with class. I’ve enjoyed every minute of the past four years. We’ve made incredible memories together — many I’ll never forget. He’s a great driver, and more importantly, a great person. I wish him nothing but the best in 2026 and wherever his career takes him.”

“It’s definitely bittersweet,” said Wilson. “After four years on the road together, these guys have become like family to me. I’m going to miss being part of this team, but I’m incredibly thankful to James and the entire Rattliff family for believing in me. We’ve shared some amazing moments and picked up some of the biggest wins of my career. I’ll always be grateful for everything they’ve done to support me.”
