World of Outlaws Rookie of the Year contender Kasey Jedrezejek was discharged from the hospital late this morning after he was involved in a wicked wreck during the Huset’s High Bank Nationals on Saturday night.

Jedrezejek was involved in a wreck with Chris Martin just over halfway in the 40-lap feature.

The wreck brought out the red flag and the World of Outlaws reported that the wreck sent Jedrezejek flipping through the air.

Shortly after the wreck, the Outlaws reported that “Jedrzejek is awake and alert as the safety team helps him from the car. Martin is okay.”

Jedrezejek’s team Bill Rose Racing would go on to provide a timeline of updates on his status revealing he was transported to a local hospital at 12:18 AM ET. A couple of hours later and they reported he was “in better spirits” but would “be kept overnight for observation.”

Finally, this morning the team reported, “Kasey has been discharged! Praise the Lord!” They also shared a photo of him exiting the hospital on his own power.

On his own Facebook page, he shared a selfie with a thumbs up while the team shared, “Kasey has been released from the hospital, and we are incredibly grateful.”

“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who prayed, called, texted, and reached out,” his team added. “Your love and support have meant more to our family than words can express. There truly is no family like the racing family. A very special thank you to the WOO crew, track safety crew, hospital staff, Bill, Ben, Deanne, Tim, Connor, Zach, and everyone else who was there at the track and hospital, making sure Kasey was safe, cared for, and never alone. We are forever grateful for your quick actions, kindness, and support during such a frightening time.”

“Kasey is sore, bruised, and definitely feeling the effects of the crash, but thankfully his injuries are not expected to be long-term. With some rest and time, he should be feeling much better over the next few days,” they concluded. “Thank you again for lifting him and our family up in prayer. We are truly blessed to have such an incredible community standing beside us.”

The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series is expected to be back in action this upcoming weekend at Cedar Lake Speedway four the Federated Auto Parts Independence Spectacular double header. Both features on Friday and Saturday June 26th and 27th pay $12,000 to-win.
