Logan Seavey hopes he will be able to continue his Dirt Late Model career after making his debut a little over two years ago in 2024.
Seavey, a standout Midget racer who won the Chili Bowl back-to-back in 2023 and 2024 and is one of eight drivers to win the USAC National Midget (2018 and 2023), USAC Silver Crown (2023), and USAC National Sprint (2024) series championships, made his Late Model debut with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals at Old No. Speedway 1 in Harrisburg, Arkansas in July 2024. He piloted the No. 51 Longhorn Chassis for Chris Bragg Racing. Seavey was in contention for the win and mixing it up with Tanner English and Ashton Winger. Unfortunately, he made contact with Winger while attempting to avoid the spinning car of Mark Voigt with six laps left. The contact broke his steering rack and he ended up finishing 18th.
Seavey made a number of other starts throughout 2024 with his best finish coming at Clay County Fair Speedway later in the month of July. He finished 8th there.
In Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series competition he finished 13 and 15th at Eagle Raceway and Shelby County Speedway advancing from 21st in both races. With the World of Outlaws Late Model Series he competed at The Dirt Track at Charlotte during World Finals, but struggled in qualifying and was never able to advance out of a B-Main.
At the end of the 2024 season, Seavey hoped to expand his Dirt Late Model schedule in 2025 telling FloRacing, “This is going to become more of a priority for me moving forward, hopefully. … That’d be the goal next year, if I can do 25-30, or even 40 races, I’d be really, really happy with that.”
Unfortunately, that schedule did not pan out and his last starts in a Late Model were at the World Finals in 2024.

Nevertheless, Seavey recently appeared on The Dirt Parlor podcast and shared that he hopes to continue his Late Model career.
“Hopefully, my Late Model career as a driver isn’t over yet,” he shared. “I’m hoping to find something to go race a little bit more. I didn’t have the most stellar runs my first couple efforts. I’d love to give it another go.”
He later added, “Wish I could have done it more and still wish I could do it more. So, hopefully, that chapter’s not over. Even too I got myself a Late Model seat. Daryn Pittman dialed me in with a nice, perfect UltraShield. So I got a seat ready to go whenever I find a car to drive.”
