Luke Morey and his Coltman Farms Racing team will head north to Morey’s home state of Michigan to compete in the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Michigan Triple Shot.
Morey made the announcement on Facebook, “Heading to my home state of Michigan this weekend! Three nights with the American Late Model Iron-Man Series, looking forward to seeing everyone back in Michigan.”
The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series kicks off its Memorial Day weekend with a stop at I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa on Friday, May 22nd. Next, it heads to Butler Motor Speedway in Quincy on Saturday, May 23rd, and finally concludes at Crystal Motor Speedway in Crystal on Sunday, May 24th. Each race will pay $10,000 to the winner.

Morey is not the only one making the haul north. Terbo Tyler Erb also announced his intention to race with the series all three nights. Terbo had success when he made the haul north last year. He finished fourth at Butler and then followed it up with a win at Crystal.
Ashton Winger also looks to carry his momentum from a win at Needmore Speedway with the Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series to Michigan. He signaled he would head north after the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series canceled its tripleheader in West Virginia that was originally scheduled for this weekend.
Winger posted to Facebook, “Following the cancellation announcement of the Hunt The Front Super Dirt Series, we are tentatively planning to compete with the Iron Man series in Michigan this coming weekend in Keyser Manufacturing country.”
RJ Conley currently leads the series’ points standings. He has a 22 point advantage over Colten Burdette. Rod Conley sits in third. He’s 34 points back. Seth Daniels and Miles Cook II are both 71 points back in fourth and fifth positions. Caiden Black is just 72 points behind in sixth. Todd Brennan and Ryan Markham are both 74 points behind in seventh and eighth positions. Kyle Moore, who recently won with the series at Mansfield, is in ninth position 83 points back. Travis Carr concludes the top 10. He’s 89 points out.
