Max Blair had some strong words for Tyler Erb after the two got together on the opening lap of the second heat for the Dirt Track World Championship at Eldora Speedway.

On the start, Max Blair attempted to dive to the bottom of the track, but Tyler Erb was there and the two banged doors as they went down the front stretch. It appeared for a split second that cooler heads would prevail right before they got into turn 1, but Terbo had other ideas and got into the side of Blair sending him around and into the outside wall. Terbo would not escape unscathed and would get collected in the wreck as well with Blair’s car coming to a stop on top of Erb’s. Also collected in the wreck was Michael Leach.

As the two exited their cars the blame game was definitely on as Blair was clearly putting the blame on Terbo while Erb was giving it right back to Blair. And it did not end on the track. After Blair returned to the pits, he told FloRacing’s Ben Shelton, “Terbo’s an idiot. Some day somebody needs to knock his head off. I can’t believe it has happened yet. The dude has wrecked every car in the pit area. He’s an idiot.”

Blair did confirm he was fine after the accident, “Yeah. I’ll be fine.”

While Blair and Terbo were blaming each other, FloRacing analyst Randy Weaver made it clear they were both at fault, “Guys, that’s just somebody wanting your lane and you’re made that they came and got it. That just ends up that way. They just didn’t get a good start, the outside row, so they wanted to get down in the moisture down the front straightaway and Terbo was already there.”

While watching the replay he said, “As you can see right here, he’s as low as you can get. But then when they get together he kind of checks up and then he just goes ahead and bonzais in there to let you know that you don’t do that when there’s cars already there. That’s why he’s so aggravated and mad.”
