Modified Standout Cole Falloway To Make Jump To Super Late Models In 2027 With Curless Motorsports

October 30, 2026  ·

Twenty-three-year-old Modified star Cole Falloway announced he will make the jump to Dirt Super Late Model competition in 2027 with Curless Motorsports.

Falloway made the announcement in a post to Facebook. He wrote, “CFR (Cole Falloway Racing) is excited to announce that we will pilot the Curless Motorsports Late Model during the 2027 racing season.”

“While preparations are still in the early stages, our anticipated schedule includes many of the region’s biggest events, along with the majority of the MARS series schedule. Additional details will be announced as plans come together.”

The team added, “We can’t thank the Curless family enough for the opportunity and their confidence in us. We look forward to working together and representing Curless Motorsports throughout the upcoming season. As preparations continue, we are welcoming new sponsorship and marketing partners for 2027. We are eager to connect with businesses interested in growing their brands alongside our racing program and building lasting partnerships. Businesses interested in coming on board are encouraged to reach out directly to discuss available opportunities.”

The announcement comes in the wake of a standout year for Falloway that included finishing second in the MARS Modified Racing Series, just 55 points behind Champion Michael Ledford. Falloway had eight wins, 12 Top 5s, and 13 Top 10s in 18 features during MARS competition. His wins came at Farmer City Raceway, Brownstown Bullring, Spoon River (2), Red Hill, Fairbury, I-55 Federated Auto Parts Raceway, and the Modified portion of the Prairie Dirt Classic.

He also got wins during DIRTcar Summit Modified Nationals competition at Red Hill Raceway and Fairbury. Additionally, he won twice during the Modified Mafia Tour at Needmore Speedway. His most recent win came during the Modified portion of the Dirt Track World Championship at West Virginia Motor Speedway.

According to The Third Turn, Falloway had 15 wins, 34 Top 5s, and 36 Top 10s in 2026 with an average finish of 5.41.

Curless Motorsports is a Dirt Super Late Model team based in Fairbury, Illinois owned by Doug and Amanda Curless. The team fields their No. 99M owned car, which was piloted earlier this year by Garrett Alberson during the FloRacing Night in America race at Fairbury and the subsequent Prairie Dirt Classic.

Caden McWhorter also piloted the car in select races throughout 2026. Some of his best finishes in the car this year included a 4th and 10th at Springfield Raceway, 5th at Farmer City, and 9th at 34 Raceway. McKay Wenger drove the car in 2024-2025 before he departed to race in his family-owned equipment.
