New details were revealed on what instigated the World of Outlaws Late Models to fine Logan Zarin’s team and put them and Brent Larson’s team on probation.

A little over a week ago, the World of Outlaws Late Models announced in a penalty report, “Members of Logan Zarin Racing and Brent Larson Motorsports were involved in a post-race incident following the July 8 event, violating Section 7, Line G of the World Racing Group rulebook. Logan Zarin Racing has been issued a $500 fine, which will be donated to Racing with Jesus Ministries. Both teams are also on probation for the remainder of the season.”

As for the specific rule that was violated, the series shared, “Any member and/or participant who drives or causes to be driven: a race car, pit mule, ATV, 4-Wheeler, personal vehicle or transporter in a dangerous and aggressive manner will be subject to penalty and/or disqualification and/or fine and/or suspension and/or legal action and/or any other action deemed appropriate by World Racing Group Supervisory Officials.”

StockCarReport.com contacted Zarin and his team to obtain more details about what caused the incident, but they chose not to comment. The team did share a new t-shirt design after the penalty was originally announced.

While Zarin and his team chose not to comment on the incident, details on what precipitated the fine and probation were shared on the most recent episode of DIRTVision’s Pit Bull. 

Host Hannah Newhouse said, “Some beef started with them on the northern swing at I-94 with some aggressive driving and then after the races Logan Zarin’s dad actually made contact with Brent Larson’s car on a 4-wheeler after Larson was like driving up the car in the pits.”

Her co-host Conner Wade then questioned, “Wait, somebody ran into somebody else’s car intentionally with a 4-wheeler and they only got a $500 fine?”

Newhouse responded, “Yup. So that’s what I was told and I actually did clarify that with Mitchell Hedstrom, the Race Director, on what that was. He had mentioned that they were going to do a heavier fine, but my understanding is that there was actually no officials that saw the interaction. This is all hearsay from the teams around.”

After her other co-host Danny Dietrich questioned how he was fined to begin with if no officials saw the incident, Newhouse answered, “Zarin’s dad owned up to it. Came to him and said that he did it.”
