The BC39 honors the legacy of the late Bryan Clauson, who tragically died in a midget accident at the age of 27 in 2016. Clauson was a USAC champion and three-time Indianapolis 500 starter. The BC39 first debuted in 2018 after the Indianapolis Motor Speedway made the 1/5 mile dirt track a permanent fixture. It was originally a single night event, but has evolved into a two night event. with a 39-lap feature as the highlight. The first race was won by Brady Bacon. Other past winners include Zeb Wise, Kyle Larson, Buddy Kofoid, and Justin Grant. Cannon McIntosh won in both 2024 and 2025 and is the defending race champion as well as the only two-time champion.
McIntosh’s win last year earned the FloRacing Sweet Manufacturing Race of the Week honors as he charged from 19th to get the win.
The event kicks off on Monday, June 29, with team parking from 1-4pm Eastern followed by the Prelude to the BC39 party at 6pm at Prime 47 in downtown Indianapolis.
Racing action for the BC39 will begins on Tuesday, June 30 and will feature a full program for the USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship with a 30-lap feature. Following the feature fans are encouraged to get on the track and talk with the drivers and see the race cars up close.
Then on Wednesday, July 1, another full night of racing will take place with a 39-lap feature. Before the feature there will also be a driver autograph session for 4pm and a public drivers meeting at 5pm. The 39-lap feature will pay $20,039 to the winner.
