Gregg Satterlee has a bounty on his head at Selinsgrove Speedway courtesy of Northeast RV.
Satterlee has been lights out at the track during weekly competition winning all six Super Late Model Shows it has put on this year. Well, Northeast RV is looking for someone to come in and knock him down a peg. They’ve worked with Selinsgrove Speedway to put a $1,000 bounty on him.
The track explained, “If someone can beat Gregg in a feature event while he is still on the track and racing, they’ll take home an additional $1000 with their payout. The bounty does not count if Gregg is not on the track at the end of the feature event.”
However, if Satterlee continues his winning ways through the end of the season, he will get to claim the bounty himself, “If he makes it to the end of the season and is not beaten, he takes home the extra $1000.”
The Super Late Models will be in action this weekend on Friday, August 7th for a regular show. They also have at least two other regular shows scheduled on August 21st and September 6th. Finally, the United Late Model Series will be in town on September 19th. It is unclear if the ULMS race on September 19th will count towards the bounty or not.
If the ULMS race counts, a number of regional guys could come to try and claim that bounty given the race will also pay $10,000 to-win. A number of top regional talent have competed and won with the ULMS this year including Mason Zeigler, Drake Troutman, Dave Hess Jr., and Kyle Hardy. On top of that you have the series’ top points getters in Jon Lee, Bryan Bernheisel, and Dylan Lewis. However, Satterlee is no stranger to the ULMS, he recently bested the series on July 19th at Hagerstown Speedway for the Frank Sagi Memorial.
Satterlee leads the track’s championship points chase. He has a whopping 560 point advantage over Andrew Yoder, who sits in second. Hayes Matten is 580 points behind in third. Rick Eckert is fourth. He’s 610 points out of first. Jeff Rine is fifth, 630 points back.
He is also one of the winningest drivers in all of Dirt Super Late Model racing this year with 10 wins. Only a handful of other drivers have more than him including Bobby Pierce, Hudson O’Neal, Brandon Sheppard, Jonathan Davenport, and Jason Feger.
