The only two races for the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Showtime Properties in the month of June takes place this weekend in the Peach State! The SAS tour is set to invade Cochran Motor Speedway in Cochran, Georgia on Friday, June 12 for the ‘Robin Wynn Memorial,’ which will boast a $5,121 payday. On Saturday, June 13, the action will quickly turn to Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia for a $7,500 to win shootout.
Tucker Anderson, of Blairsville, Georgia, sits atop of the latest Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series point standings heading into the doubleheader weekend in his home state. Billy Franklin, Kendall Franklin, Dillon Daves, and Will Hicks sit second through fifth in the latest point tally and will be looking to gain ground this weekend.
At Cochran Motor Speedway on Friday evening, the ‘Robin Wynn Memorial’ will feature the ground-pounding Super Late Models, but the CRUSA 602 Sportsman, Factory Stock, Crown Vic Pro, and Crown Vic Jr divisions will also be in action at the 3/8-mile facility. The gates are slated to open at 4:00pm with the Drivers Meeting scheduled for 7:15pm. Hot laps will light up the racetrack at 7:30pm with racing to follow.
Adult admission will be $20.00 into the grandstands and $35.00 into the pit area. Kids ages 6-11 will be admitted into the stands for $10.00 and into the pits for $20.00. In the weekend finale on Saturday night at Senoia Raceway, the 604 Late Model, Modified, Hot Shot, Hobby, and Vintage divisions will join the Super Late Models on the racing card. The pit gates will open at 3:00pm, while the grandstands will start to allow fans into the facility at 5:00pm. The Drivers Meeting is set for 5:30pm and hot laps will take to the track at 6:00pm. Racing action on the gray gumbo is scheduled to start at approximately 7:30pm.
Grandstand admission is $25.00 for adults, while kids ages 12 and under will be allowed into the stands for free. Pit admission is $35.00 for adults, $20.00 for kids 6-12, and free for children ages 5 and under. Senoia Raceway is located at 171 Brown Road in Senoia, Georgia. Super Late Model body rules and the Droop Rule will be the same as those agreed on by both the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series – among others.
