The Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals announced that the Biddle Ridley Memorial scheduled for tonight at North Georgia has been postponed to Thursday, June 18th due to too much rain.

The series made the announcement in a post to Facebook, “Officials from North Georgia Speedway just notified us that they have received too much rain this morning and tonight’s annual ‘Biddle Ridley Memorial’ is being postponed until Thursday night, June 18.”

It added that the race at Duck River Raceway Park scheduled for Sunday is still on, “Tomorrow’s Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series show at Duck River Raceway Park is still on as scheduled – $10,053 to win!”

North Georgia Speedway added in their own post, “We know everyone was fired up for one of the biggest events of the season, but we want to make sure fans, teams, and officials get the full show this event deserves.”

“The good news? The wait just means the intensity gets turned up even more when the stars of the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals roll back into the #FastestThirdMileInTheSouth for the running of the Biddle Ridley Memorial.”

Along with Sunday’s race at Duck River Raceway Park, the Spring Nationals are expected to compete on Monday, May 25th at Sugar Creek Raceway in Blue Ridge, Georgia for $5,053 to-win.

Garrett Smith currently leads the series’ points. He has a 624 point advantage over second place Brandon Overton. Benji Hicks is in third place 632 points back. Kaede Loudy is just 4 points behind Hicks in fourth place. Jack Franklin rounds out the top five. He’s 654 points behind Smith.
