Steven Snyder Jr. announced he will be piloting the 3 Stooges Racing Sprint Car with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series moving forward.
Snyder made the announcement on Facebook, “As of this week, Steven will be behind the wheel of the 3 Stooges Racing #51 car with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series!”
“Huge thank you to Jeff and the whole #51 team for this opportunity and to all of their partners and our partners for the continued support. 
We’ll hit the ground running this weekend at the Ironman 55 and then head to Knoxville for Nationals week,” he added.
Snyder joining 3 Stooges Racing comes in the wake of Ashton Torgerson announcing on Monday, August 3rd that he had parted ways with the team. Torgerson announced on Facebook, “Effective immediately, I have made the decision to part ways with the number 51 3 Stooges Racing team.”
“First off, I want to thank Jeff West and Noah West for giving me the opportunity to keep chasing my dream of racing with the World of Outlaws,” he continued. “I’ll always be grateful that they believed in me and gave me that chance. While this chapter has come to an end, I’m proud of the effort everyone put in, and I wish the entire 3 Stooges Racing team nothing but the best moving forward.”
“As of right now, I don’t have any plans in place for the remainder of the season. I’m actively looking at any opportunities that may come my way, and I’m ready to get back to the racetrack as soon as the right opportunity presents itself,” he added. “Thank you to all of my sponsors, fans, family, and everyone who continues to support me through the highs and lows of this journey. This isn’t the end—it’s just another chapter. We’ll keep pushing forward and see where the road leads next.”
Snyder was last in a 410 Winged Sprint Car at Eldora with the World of Outlaws for the Kings Royal week. He was in a Chad Boat (CB) Industries and Spire Motorsports fielded entry as part of Spire Motorsports Ascent Program. He finished 18th in Group A during the High Limit Racing Double Down Duels and 10th in B Feature during the Joker’s Jackpot. In the Kings Royal with the Outlaws he finished 16th in the Last Chance Showdown.
Snyder also ran with the team at Grandview with High Limit Racing on May 19th and filled in for Logan Seavey during the High Limit Racing race at Texas Motor Speedway on May 2nd. He inished 18th at Grandview and 23rd at Texas.
In May, Spire Motorsports announced in a press release that Snyder was their driver for a part-time USAC Sprint Car entry with the team’s first race together being the #LETSRACETWO event at Eldora Speedway that began on May 15th. He went on to compete with them during the Corn Belt Clash at Knoxville Raceway at the end of May as well. He finished 10th on the first night at Eldora and 4th on the second night. At Knoxville he finished 10th on night one and 13th in night two.
Snyder does have a win in a 410 Winged Sprint Car this year. He won at Williams Grove Speedway at the beginning of April while competing in the No. 27H Heffner Racing Enterprises entry.
