Terbo Tyler Erb announced that he’s heading north to Michigan this Memorial Day weekend to take on the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series.
In a post to Facebook, Terbo shared he’ll first stop at I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa on Friday, May 22nd for the $10,000 to-win feature. He’ll follow the tour to Butler Speedway in Quincy on Saturday May 23rd for another $10,000 to-win race. Finally, he’ll close out the weekend on Sunday, May 24th at Crystal Motor Speedway in Crystal, where $10,000 to-win is on the line there as well.
While Terbo announced he’s heading to Michigan to compete with the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series, he was questioned by one of his fans as to why he’s not heading west to Wheatland to run with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series for the Show-Me 100. Terbo answered, “looked a little tooooo moist.”

Terbo is likely referring to the weather forecast as he’s been selling his “Now Moister Than ever!” Betty Crocker parody shirts when a race gets rained out. For example, he shared the shirt this past weekend when the World of Outlaws race at Marion Center Raceway scheduled for Saturday was postponed due to rain.
The forecast for Wheatland for this weekend does currently call for rain. Accuweather reports that for Thursday it will be cloudy with a shower and a t-storm with a 25% chance of precipitation. On Friday, it says “Cloud with a few showers” with an 84% chance of rain. Finally, on Saturday it states, “A couple of showers possible” with a thunderstorm possible in the evening. There’s 30% chance of rain.

Terbo is known for being a good predictor of weather, he said so himself back in May 2024 after he skipped the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series races at Pondersoa Speedway and Florence Speedway that were both rained out in the beginning of May. He explained, “I have just a better weatherman and event planner than most people. Just want to say that.” Terbo raced with the World of Outlaws at Mississippi Thunder Speedway that weekend instead. He finished 10th and 5th. He then went to Quincy Raceways on Sunday, May 5th and won.
We’ll see if it works out this time. Accuweather is calling for an 87% chance of rain in Lake Odessa on Friday night.

There’s also a 71% chance of rain in Quincy on Saturday.

The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series kicked off its season in the middle of April at Atomic Speedway with Caiden Black taking home the checkers. The series then had a rain out at Eldora and postponed its race at Mansfield originally scheduled for the beginning of May. The second race of the season was held at West Virginia Motor Speedway, where Drake Troutman took home the win. The series then returned to Atomic, where Jerry Bowersock picked up the win. On May 15th Kyle Moore won at Mansfield Speedway and then Tyler Carpenter got the win a day later at Muskingum County Speedway.
RJ Conley currently leads the points standings. He has a 22-point advantage over Colten Burdette. Rod Conely is in third just 34 points out of the lead. Seth Daniels and Miles Cook II are both 71 points out. They are in fourth and fifth respectively. Caiden Black is just a single point behind them in sixth. Todd Brennan and Ryan Markham are both 74 points behind Conley in 7th and 8th. Closing out the top 10, Kyle Moore is 83 points out in 9th and Travis Carr is 89 points back in 10th.
