The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Cancels Friday’s Portion Of The Malvern Bank High Bank Heist At Eagle Raceway Due To Rain

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt series announced that its Friday portion of the Malvern Bank High Bank Heist at Eagle Raceway has been canceled due to rain.

The series posted to Facebook, “The 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 of the Malvern Bank #𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗛𝗲𝗶𝘀𝘁 at Eagle Raceway has been 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿.”

It added that hot laps for Saturday night will begin at 5:00pm local time.

Koehler Motorsports, which fields Ricky Thornton Jr.’s team shared a photo of the rain coming down at the track.

The Saturday night portion of the High Bank Heist will award $50,000 to the winner. it will start an hour earlier as mentioned above with the pit gates opening at 2:00 PM and the grandstands open at 4:00 PM. Hot laps will kick off at 5:00 PM. The program will be a complete night with Dirt Draft Hot Laps, Allstar Performance Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and the 75-lap High Bank Heist, $50,000-to-win main event.

The 75-lap, $50,000-to-win race also kicks off the 2026 Arizona Sport Shirts Crown Jewel Cup miniseries within the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt series schedule.

Ricky Thornton Jr. is the defending champion after winning the inaugural race last year.
