Rounds eight and nine of the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Showtime Properties schedule – slated for May 1-2 at West Alabama Speedway in Winfield, Alabama and Buckshot Speedway in Clanton, Alabama – have been postponed due to an unfavorable weather forecast. A strong chance of wet weather may have won out this weekend, but series and track officials have both agreed on makeup dates for each event.

The SAS program scheduled for this Friday at West Alabama Speedway has been pushed back to Friday night, August 14 and will still carry a $5,000 top prize. The new date pairs West Alabama with a scheduled Saturday stop on August 15 at Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, Tennessee, which boasts a $5,026 payday for the annual running of the ‘Mark Fields Memorial.’

The SAS event scheduled for this Saturday at Buckshot Speedway has been postponed to Friday evening, May 15. That date recently became available when Golden Mountain Speedway announced their intentions on social media to cancel the SAS visit due to area graduations. Buckshot Speedway’s show on May 15 will now pay $5,000 to the winner and will be paired with a similar $5,000 to win program on May 16 at Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, Tennessee.

Tucker Anderson, who already has two Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series wins in 2026, currently sits atop of the latest point standings over a top five that includes Billy Franklin, Kendall Franklin, Dillon Daves, and Will Hicks. The SAS tour will sit idle over the May 8-9 weekend before returning to action on Friday, May 15 at Buckshot Speedway and Saturday, May 16 at Duck River Raceway Park. View the latest series news, points, schedule, rules, etc. online at www.sasdirt.com.
