Here is what drivers had to say following Friday night’s MARS Racing Series race at Lucas Oil Speedway for night 1 of the Fall Nationals:

Chase Junghans — Winner: “We got her pretty decent. It still could be better. I told myself at the beginning of the year and I said this last time we were up front here. Every time I come here I get my butt kicked and I could never figure it out and I told myself there’s a lot of good paying races here throughout the year so I just wanted to try and get this place figured out. And I think we’re getting it. We’re getting better, but there’s still room for improvement.

The race track was phenomenal. Casey and his team did a hell of a job. Just got to thank my guys: Donny and Bob. Emily, my wife. Everyone that helps us. My mom and dad. Clements Racing Engines. This thing’s got like 100 laps on it and it’s a bad unit. I love it. Rocket Chassis, Integra Shocks. Just everyone that helps us get up and down the road.”

Dallon Murty — Finished 2nd: “We were pretty. That’s a pretty good night for this new car. Just thank everyone at Longhorn, Kevin, all them guys. Gave me a really good piece. Thanks to my crew: Zeb, Jonah, and JD.

Man, I hate that for Dylan. I had to slide him down there and I thought I sent it hard enough to where he’d check and turn under, but, yeah, that sucks. I hate that. We’ve raced a lot of years together and always put on good races. Sorry to him.

I got so many people watching. My mom, my dad, my girlfriend, her family, buddy Timmy, my grandma Kim, grandpa Norm, Sean, Ally, pry a few more. Say hi to Greg, my boss, he’s watching back home. Thank all these guys: Bruening Rock Products, Stealth Oilwell Services, Bidwell Farms, Murty Farms, Fast Shafts, Quality Services, Shannon’s here with us, Fast Shafts, Cash Money Motorsports, and everyone that makes this possible.”

Tony Jackson Jr. — Finished 3rd: “The track was good. My car was good. We’ve not raced much this year, but every time we’ve unloaded we’ve been pretty decent.”
