One month after kicking off the chase for the 2026 DIRTcar Pro Stock Series title at Utica-Rome Speedway, the top full-fender drivers in the Northeast return to action in New York’s Capital Region.

The Series visits Albany-Saratoga Speedway on Friday, May 15, for the first of two visits this season. Drivers will battle in a 30-lap Feature paying $1,000-to-win.

Joining the DIRTcar Pro Stock Series are the track’s DIRTcar Big Block Modified, DIRTcar Sportsman, Limited Sportsman, and Street Stock divisions.

Here’s a look at what to watch for at Albany-Saratoga:

The Champ’s Domain: While he isn’t racing there weekly in 2026, Pete Stefanski enters this weekend’s race as the reigning track champion at Albany-Saratoga, a place where he won five times last season.

The North Tonawanda, NY driver sits second in the Series standings after a runner-up finish at Utica-Rome last month.

Stefanski raced at Albany-Saratoga last weekend to get some laps before Friday, finishing eighth in that Feature. A win this weekend for the six-time champ will be his 29th career Series victory.

The Malta Crew: Anytime the Series heads to Albany-Saratoga, there’s a stout field of Friday night regulars who are a threat to take home the $1,000 prize.

So far this season, four different drivers have reached Victory Lane at the “Great Race Place,” with Chuck Dumblewski, Kim Duell, Rich Crane, and Brandon Emigh each earning a win. Out of that group, Duell is the only one of the four who’s yet to win a Series Feature.

Emigh is the most recent Series winner at the track, scoring a win during Malta Massive Weekend last September. Duell, meanwhile, won on the track’s opening night in a race televised on DIRTVision.

Invading the Great Race Place: Fans who attend Friday’s race will also get to see drivers they aren’t accustomed to seeing weekly.

That includes drivers like reigning I Love NY 50 winner Devon Camenga, and three-time Series champion Jocelyn Roy.

Camenga, from Troy, NY, is searching for his second career Series victory, and has been close before, finishing third during Malta Massive Weekend in 2024.

Roy’s best Series finish at the track came back in 2013, when he crossed the line in ninth. A win this weekend by the St-Helene, QC, driver would be his fifth career Series win.
