With Hunt The Front Getting Rained Out, Ashton Winger Signals He’ll Head North To Michigan To Take On The American Late Model Iron Man Series

 Ashton Winger announced his intention to compete with the American Late Model Iron Man series in its Michigan Triple Shot event this Memorial Day weekend.

Winger posted to Facebook, “Following the cancellation announcement of the Hunt The Front Super Dirt Series, we are tentatively planning to compete with the Iron Man series in Michigan this coming weekend in Keyser Manufacturing country.”

The Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series announced on May 19th that it was canceling its West Virginia tripleheader that was originally scheduled to make stops at Elkins Speedway, Tyler County Speedway, and West Virginia Motor Speedway due to rain.

The series shared in a press release, “he decision was made jointly by the series and all three track promoters with the safety of race teams, fans, and staff as the top priority, along with the goal of avoiding unnecessary travel expenses and complications for teams facing unfavorable weather across the region.”

The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series kicks off its Memorial Day weekend with a stop at I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa on Friday, May 22nd. Next, it heads to Butler Motor Speedway in Quincy on Saturday, May 23rd, and finally concludes at Crystal Motor Speedway in Crystal on Sunday, May 24th. Each race will pay $10,000 to the winner.

Winger is heading north with some momentum coming off his first win of the season. He put on a dominating performance on Saturday night at Needmore Speedway with the Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series.

Winger won’t be the only one heading north looking to avoid the rain that is sweeping across the country. Terbo Tyler Erb shared he was making the trek north as well. Terbo shared on Facebook, “Hey all you cool cats and kittens…Uncle T’s coming to the Mitten!”

He even got into some friendly trash talking with Rusty Schlenk, who plans to defend his home turf. Schlenk responded to Terbo writing, “I see you made a rhyme…Hope you’re ok with running 2nd the whole time.”

Terbo fired back, “Second place ain’t our style, We came to win and get wild.”
