Chamberlain Racing announced that its driver, Tristan Chamberlain, will not be competing this weekend with the World of Outlaws off before it returns to Marion Center Raceway on May 27th.

However, the reason he’s not competing is not because the World of Outlaws are off this weekend, but because he is graduating high school and is the Salutatorian of his class. Salutatorian is the student with the second highest GPA of the class and it is typical that they deliver an address at the graduation ceremony.

Chamberlain’s team and family shared in a post to Facebook, “We will be taking this weekend off as we will be celebrating the incredible accomplishments of Tristan Chamberlain as he graduates high school as the Salutatorian of the Class of 2026!”

Not only is he graduating high school, but they shared he’s about to finish his first year of college already as well, “In addition to graduating with honors, Tristan is also nearing completion of his first year of college — an achievement that reflects his dedication, determination, and hard work. Throughout his high school journey, Tristan has successfully balanced the demands of AP academics while pursuing his racing career, showing remarkable discipline both in the classroom and on the track.”

The team concluded, “Please join us in congratulating Tristan on this huge accomplishment and wishing him continued success in all that lies ahead!”

Chamberlain is currently in his third year full-time with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series after becoming the youngest driver to ever run a full-time season back in 2024 at the age of 16. He is 12th in points, 618 behind current points leader Nick Hoffman. His best finish this year came at Senoia back at the end of March, where he finished 9th. He also finished third in the second of two showdowns at Marion Center Raceway on Friday night.

During the Outlaws’ trip to the Mid-Atlantic, Chamberlain showed some good speed. At Georgetown to kick off the trip, he was second fastet in Group A qualifying and went on to win his heat and won the pole redraw. That speed continued throughout the week. He qualified 8th in Group at Selinsgrove, started fourth in his heat, but moved up to second to get a 6th place starting position in the redraw. And then at Bedford he qualified 7th in Group, advanced one spot in his heat to finish 3rd, which set him up for a 9th place starting position.

Chamberlain is expected to be back in action when the Outlaws return to Pennsylvania for the rained out feature at Marion Center Raceway on Wednesday, May 27th. They’ll then head west to Ohio for the Lonewolf 40 at Wayne County Speedway on Thursday, May 28th and close out the weekend at Mansfield Speedway for two nights of racing on Friday and Saturday night for the Blaster 57 Special.
